The Celtic peoples stretched from Ireland to Anatolia, and everywhere they settled they left behind a visual language of extraordinary complexity. Spirals carved into stone 5,000 years ago at Newgrange. Knotwork that adorned the Book of Kells. Symbols that were never merely decorative — each one encoded cosmological knowledge, spiritual protection, and social identity.

Symbols in Our Collection

Triskele (Triple Spiral)

One of the oldest symbols in human history, found at the 5,000-year-old passage tomb of Newgrange, Ireland. The three arms represent the eternal cycle of life — birth, death, and rebirth — or the three realms of land, sea, and sky. In modern Irish culture, it also echoes the Holy Trinity. "Past, present, future — all in motion, all connected."

Claddagh

Originating in the 17th-century fishing village of Claddagh, Galway. Two hands (friendship) cradling a heart (love) beneath a crown (loyalty). Worn on the right hand with the heart facing outward means the wearer's heart is open; facing inward means it's taken. On the left hand, it signifies marriage. "Love, loyalty, and friendship — the three pillars of every meaningful bond."

Tree of Life (Crann Bethadh)

The Celts believed trees were ancestors and gateways to the spirit world. The Tree of Life, with branches reaching skyward and roots reaching deep, represents the connection between heaven and earth, the balance of all living things. "As above, so below — a reminder that strength comes from deep roots."

Celtic Knot (Endless Knot)

With no beginning and no end, the Celtic knot represents eternity — eternal love, eternal life, the eternal cycle of nature. The interlacing patterns symbolize the interconnectedness of all things. "An unbroken thread — through generations, through time."
